Mens A

2007-8 Season

• 22/04/08 - Lost 3-6 at Poppleton against Riverside. Several games very close which could have gone either way. Sadly not to our favour. I feel we need to practice more with feathers before the season finale at Clifton A.
• 28/1/8 - Win away at drax A 8-1. All were very close games going to 3 ends or over 21. Great result away from home, with 2 home and 2 away matches left for the season. Sorry I missed an absolute sitter Gary, We managed to get away with it though.
• 21/1/8 Lost 3-6 at clifton against Clifton B. Thanks to Paul for standing in.
• 30/10/07 away to unversity A. After two wins of 8-1 and a full squad we tried everything to get a result. We lost 9-0 but seemed closer than that. Ian and Wasten were the only pairing to take one game to a 3 ender.
• 09/10/7 David kindly stood in through injury, partnering Ian. They won 2 games and just missed out on the third in a tight 3 ender. Soren and Matt won all 3 games with a marathon 3 ender in the middle. Mike and Gary clawed back from 20-16 down in the final game 3 ender winning 22-20. All games were very close and ended as an 8-1 win.
• 27/9/7 The first match of the season began tonight. In Mens div 1 we kicked off with a great 8-1 win against Riverside. Ian and Wasten picked up 2 wins but the final rubber was conceded through injury. Thanks to Paul for standing in with Soren and getting 3 straight wins. Gary and myself got 3 wins with the middle game going to 3.
